A Wildlife Extravaganza!

Northern Tanzania offers some of the most unique habitats and wildest unspoilt scenery in Africa. The country straddles the borders between the South Africa Miombo belt, the East African savannahs and the Central African lowland forests which make for great diversity of habitat and therefore species.

Our tour will be looking for many of the 39 endemic birds, plus a host of specialities and critically endangered species. Birding in areas that few have birded before is exciting in itself, but add to this the famous Ngorongoro Crater and the vast plains of the Serengeti with their sought after mammals and this tour becomes something very special indeed. In fact as a wildlife experience Northern Tanzania would be very hard to beat. This tour will not only seek out many of the difficult birds, but we will also be able to savour the splendours of many of Africa’s best mammals.

A pre tour extension to the fabulously exotic Pemba Island will not only offer a complete contrast but will find us four more endemic bird species and offers the chance to go somewhere few birders have gone before.
